Shelby Klien
Healthteam Advantage
2026-2028 President
Shelby Kline is a recreation therapist with 18 years of experience in senior care and currently serves as Community Outreach Supervisor for HealthTeam Advantage, connecting seniors across the Triad with meaningful programs and events. She is President of the Triad Retirement Living Association (TRLA) and is deeply involved in leadership roles supporting older adults, caregivers, and veterans throughout the community.

Triad Funeral Service
2026-2028 Vice President
I am thrilled to serve on the volunteer board for the Triad Retirement Living Association, where I get to give back and support seniors in our community. As Outreach Coordinator for Triad Cremation & Funeral Service, I love building meaningful connections and helping families when they need it most. Giving back through volunteer work is something I truly enjoy, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute to causes that make a difference. Outside of work and volunteering, I enjoy traveling, photography, and spending time with my family.
Teresa Cooper,
Authoracare
2026-2028 Treasurer
Teresa Cooper is a former educator and social worker. After more than 20 years teaching in the elementary school setting, Teresa pursued a Masters degree in Human Services. She has worked in the field of Healthcare for more than 10 years. She began her career in the long term care setting before moving into home health and hospice. She is a Community Liaison for Authoracare Collective. She is also a PAC certified dementia coach as well as a certified virtual dementia tour trainer. She's been with her husband Mark for 43 years and has one grown son.

Channing OFerrell
Authoracare
2026-2027 Secretary
Channing serves as the Liaison for AuthoraCare Hospice in Guilford County and is excited to step into the role of TRLA Secretary from the membership. She looks forward to working more closely with such a passionate and dedicated group of professionals. Outside of work, Channing is a loving mom to her two wonderful boys.

I’m Mark Hensley with AARP NC - Triad Region. As the past president of TRLA, I am thrilled to watch OUR association grow and continue to get stronger. It is my honor to continue to be a part of the leadership team for TRLA. My greatest passion is for Livable and Age-Friendly Communities. If you don’t know what that is, come ask me.
