HELPING HANDS

The Helping Hands Committee exists to fulfill TRLA's mission of assisting the larger community through charitable service projects, micro-grants, and our annual caregiver appreciation event. TRLA members can choose to participate in The Helping Hands Committee by:

  • Volunteering on the committee.

  • Attending semi-annual service projects.

  • Sponsoring the caregiver appreciation event.

  • Encouraging local non-profits to apply for a micro-grant.

To date, TRLA has donated over 50 hours of community service and $100,000 to senior-specific nonprofits in the greater Triad area. These efforts have been made possible by our members' time and annual dues.

DID YOU KNOW...

Less costs, 100% of membership dues are given back to the Triad through our micro-grant program.

GET INVOLVED

1

APPLY FOR A MICRO-GRANT:

Each year TRLA awards monies to non-profits serving seniors. In order for a non-profit to be considered, a TRLA member in good standing must submit a Grant Request form. All grant requests are reviewed by the Board for consideration.

2

JOIN THE HELPING HANDS COMMITTEE:

Interested in volunteering with our helping hands committee to establish and execute on volunteer projects and events? Email our committee to discuss potential eligibility and availability.

3

SUBMIT A VOLUNTEER PROJECT REQUEST:

TRLA is always looking for new ways to volunteer with our senior care community. If you are a non-profit working directly with seniors, feel free to submit a volunteer project for our Helping Hands Committee to review.
