ACHC (Accreditation Commission for Health Care) is now offering the opportunity for assisted living facilities (ALF) to become accredited through ACHC. Starting after the new year, they will be conducting a 2-year pilot for ALF. ACHC is in need of 150 facilities. Seventy-five will go through accreditation and become accredited at no cost to them. The other 75 will be in the control group. The control group will go through the process and submit their data but will not become accredited.
