This is a full-time exempt position. The Project Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to coordinate the activities of the CAN-NC Elder Arts Initiative, a three-year grant funded project providing a variety of creative arts programs to residents in certified nursing homes across North Carolina. The Coordinator assumes primary responsibility for scheduling classes, maintaining art supply inventory, tracking expenditures, implementingassessments, and database management.
This position is for independent contractors and our biggest need is with visual artists. Our Teaching Artists must demonstrate a passion for arts engagement with older adults of varying ability levels to improve quality of life. Must be highly organized yet flexible, patient, reliable, intuitive, and conscientious. Previous teaching experience, especially with differently-abled, is a plus. Training is required.
